Program

All oral presentations will be invited while submitted contributions will be considered for the poster sessions. In addition, all Junior Scientists (students and postdocs during the first three years after receiving their PhD) presenting a poster can apply for a Flash Presentation*. If you are chosen, you will get the chance to give a sneak peak to your poster contents on Monday after the morning session.

Flash Presentations

As another new highlight we introduce Flash Presentations (3 min oral presentations, no questions, max. 1 slide). All Junior Scientists (students and postdocs during the first three years after receiving their PhD) can apply to give a sneak peak to their poster contents on Monday after the morning session. If you are eligible and interested, please indicate this in the registration form. Our selection committee will inform you whether you were chosen until end of February 2024.

Campus Tour

Due to the positive feedback received after PICO2022 we will again organize a campus tour to the Research Centre Jülich on Thursday Afternoon. We will introduce the Research Centre and provide exclusive insights into the Ernst-Ruska Centre and its facilities. As a bonus, we will also visit a second (surprise) institute on the campus. If you are interested, you can indicate this in your registration form. Please note, that seats are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Furthermore, we will need additional information for your campus registration for which we will contact you separately.

Networking Event

As a new highlight we are organizing a Networking Event on Sunday Evening. In a casual atmosphere we will do some fun activities together that allow everyone to establish new contacts, get to know each other better and have an enjoyful evening. In order to facilitate preparations for this event, please indicate whether you plan to attend in the registration form.

Conference Dinner

As usual, we will have our well known Conference Dinner on Wednesday Evening. In order to facilitate preparations for this evening, please also indicate whether you plan to attend this event, in the registration form.
