Welcome to the ER-C User Facility
The ER-C houses conventional and state-of-the-art electron microscopes, ranging from standard scanning electron microscopes to highly-specialised aberration corrected instruments offering sub-Å resolution imaging and spectroscopy, as well as quantitative measurements of electromagnetic field distributions using phase contrast techniques that include off-axis electron holography and 4D STEM.
The ER-C hosts the PICO20XX Conference Series on Frontiers of Aberration Corrected Electron Microscopy. It addresses recent advances in methods and applications for the study of solids in condensed matter research and the life sciences by the application of advanced electron microscopy techniques.
The Ernst Ruska-Centre works closely with partners from academia and industry on scientific projects, as well as on the testing and development of methods and equipment. Our cutting-edge facilities and expertise provide an ideal environment for new scientific insight and technological progress.
