Fee, Accommodation and Catering
The symposium fee of 350€ for regular participants contains access, catering and the shuttle bus.
Student access is granted at a reduced fee of 150€ with the obligation to provide proof of student status.
We recommend booking a room in the “B&B Hotel Düren“ (at own expenses) where our shuttle bus will pick you up.
Please use the keyword “WEM2025” when booking your room there.
Please note that accommodation space in the conference hotel is limited.
Only for invited speakers the accommodation is organized by us.
Travel has to be organized and paid by each participant individually at their own expenses.
This applies for invited speakers as well.
RMS Travel Funds
If you are an early career researcher (max. 12 years of graduating), or are employed in a support role in microscopy or cytometry and have been a member of the Royal Microscopical Society for more than twelve months you can apply for financial travel support by the RMS society once your poster abstract involving microscopy was accepted through this application form.
Access
Access to the Research Center Jülich Campus is restricted. Our security service needs very detailed information including residence and birthday. Hence, these fields in the registration form are marked mandatory but will be treated confidentially and shared only with our security service and only for the access procedure.
Please note that access to the campus is possible only by providing a valid passport or ID card.
(ONLY) For FZJ members residence and birthday information is not required. However, the number of FZJ participants is limited. Access confirmations will be shared after registration closure.
Childcare
In case you are responsible for small children and require to take them along, we offer childcare during the event for a limited number of children free of charge. Please get in touch with our Conference Management, Dr.-Ing. Genevieve Wilbs to register your kids.
