Ultrastructural electron microscopy facility

The cellular ultrastructural electron microscopy facility provides access and performs electron microscopy imaging for life science research, e.g. negative staining, immunostaining, resin embedding and sectioning. These approaches are capable of visualizing the entire range of prokaryotic to eukaryotic organisms from viruses, bacterial to human cells and tissues. The facility is meant to complement the existing high-resolution cryo-EM research activities in structural biology at the Ernst-Ruska Centre at the Forschungszentrum Jülich.
