Join the 1st RIANA Training School and gain exclusive insights into the cutting-edge world of nanoscience and nanotechnology. This program offers PhD students and young postdoctoral researchers a unique opportunity to explore key technologies, including:

Focused Ion Beams
Electron Microscopy
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
Neutron Scattering

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Admission is free of charge but subject to abstract approval. The program includes:

  • Accommodation (single room with breakfast) in the B&B Hotel Düren
  • Shuttle bus between FZJ and B&B
  • Coffee breaks & lunches
  • Poster Session offering the chance to present your work and engage with experts from various sectors (including best poster award)
  • Presentations led by renowned scientific experts and top researchers
  • Site visits of FZJ institutes, including
    • Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons (ER-C)
    • Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS)
    • Institute of Biological Information Processing (IBI)
    • Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC)

Travel to / from the hotel has to be organized and paid at your own expenses.

RIANA is a Horizon Europe funded project which supports curiosity-driven research in nanoscience with open research questions for long-term impact, and challenge-driven research in nanotechnology with targeted research questions for short- and mid-term impact.
