External researchers planning to utilise experimental or methodical ER-C resources are requested to follow a three-step procedure described in the following to apply for periods of instrumental use or counselling actvities.
Prior submitting an offical proposal, please check the feasibility and lead time of the project to put into practise.
For these purposes, firstly consult a cognisant ER-C staff scientist whose area of expertise suits best the subject matter of analyses to be performed in all (most) respects
or, in case of obscurities, please contact the General Manager of the ER-C

Complete either of these forms, which must not fall dramatical below two as well as exceed four pages and return your proposal to the general manager of the ER-C.

step 2 submit a proposal users from „EU“ member states exc. of Germany
Having discussed the basic scope and viability of the project with one or another ER-C staff member also serving as your ER-C project officer, external users employed at organisations or companies with a business address in a member state of the so-called „European Union“ except of Germany are requested to sumit research proposals via the European Network for Electron Microscopy (ESTEEM 3). For these purposes please visit the

and follow instructions given on these pages. Correspondingly submitted proposals will then be further processed by the ESTEEM 3 transnational access proposal evaluation committee which will decide on the eligibility of the proposal within typcial “European Union” processing times.
